A secret survey purportedly conducted by Republic channel and an internal survey of the RSS, the ideological mentor of the BJP, indicated that the ruling TDP would sweep in the 2019 general elections in Andhra Pradesh. The surveys shocking results predicted that TDP would win at least 117 seats. While Republic survey has 117 for TDP, the RSS internal survey reportedly showed 123 seats for the TDP. The surveys said that neither Jagan-led YSRCP nor Pawan Kalyan's Janasena could impact the upcoming polls.
Post the survey results, RSS reportedly summoned BJP chief Amit Shah and directed him to meet TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu for truce. While there were doubts over these rumours, the latest comments of Shiv Sena in the editorial carried out in party's mouthpiece Saamana have been raising many eyeballs.
Shiv Sena noted that the TDP had ended ties with the BJP and it said that building an equation with Naidu once again will be part of Shah's outreach programme.
If Naidu does not agree, YS Jaganmohan Reddy (of the YSR Congress) is available, the Sena sarcastically added.
Although the editorial was published before Amit Shah's meeting with Uddhav Thackeray at his residence, looks like, there is no major change in Shiv Sena's views.
