Young Tiger NTR’s ‘Dammu’, released amidst high expectations. Dammu is arguably the craziest one for NTR since the release of Simhadri. This film is very important for young tiger Jr NTR and his leading ladies Trisha and Kartheeka. All three of them are in desperate need of a hit.

Well, the most surprising factor for NTR fans in this film is..a new NTR, a matured hero who can intensify the action scenes as well as emotional scenes in this high voltage drama. The way he handles the entire film on his shoulders, the perfect dialogue modulaton.

This is truly a treat to watch thier favourite hero in most scintillatiing performance. There is much maturity in Simhadri NTR and Dammu NTR, a complete hero.

We all know Boyapati Srinu is master in elevating the hero image. This he has done perfectly well with NTR. He knows his fan following and he also knows how to provide them a mass masala entertainer. For NTR fans this is full length entertainer. There are lot of politcal dialogues in it.

Something like "Purugulu pattina kandi pappu 100 rupayala kistu, rendu rupayalaku biyyamiste amayakanga mosa potunna prajalu.",..."Neelle leni chota projectulu kadutunnaru...", "arachethilo factory lu choopinchi bhoomulu dochukuntu vote lu veyinchukovatledaa sir".

Not only this in one scene Prasad Babu asks NTR " why do't you join in politics, you can shine so well", then NTR says" Prajalu nannu korukunnappudu tappakunda vasta, charitra tiraga vrasta..." These dialogues are enough to create ripples among hard core NTR fans.

Let us get into the movie plot now...

Movie starts with the rivalry between Suman ( Vasi Reddy) family and Nasser family. Both families indulge in killing others for the supremacy in the village. In the process, everyone in Vasi Reddy family dies making Nasser uncontested villain of the village for the next twenty five years.

Twenty five years passes, Veera Durgam (Kota) adopts Rama Chandra (NTR) an orphan in the city and introduces him to the family and villagers as Vijaya Dwaja Simha , a heir to Vasireddy family. Now it is turn of Vijaya Dwaja Simha to live up to the expectations of family members and villagers.

Rest of the story is how Vijaya Dwaja Simha wins the heart of the people and stops the killings in the village.

In brief this is a very old plot only...not many twists in the plot...any regular Telugu audience can anticipate the next scenes. Boyapati should have concentrate much in the main plot. Well Boyapati's main stregth is his presentation of action sequences.... the glorification of voilence..and he is successful with it. That is his USP and main forte.

Performances : Again it is NTR.... full marks to his brilliant, most balanced body language and did so well even emotional parts. Ovar all Boyapati made him a complete actor, the perfect super star. Next to NTR, it is Nasser. What a performance...perhaps after 'Devar Magan' (Kshatriaya Putrudu), we can see that level of performance. Suman, Kota Sreenivasa Rao, Bhanu Priya did justice to their roles. The main attraction of beautiful Trisha and Karthika are truly visual treat to watch. Though Trisha is gorgeous and awesome but Karthika stole the scene.She is sexy, hot and entertaining. Particularly in the item song "Vasthu bagundey.."with two heroines and two more item girls, Karthika dominates clearly.

Songs are well choreographed and Anand Sai sets are very colourful. Keeravani music is good but Back ground score is just average. Cinematography is good but full marks to stunts..Ram Lakshman action scenes are back bone to Dammu... but So much voilence and so much blood is truly objectionable.

Final Verdict : It is completely NTR's film. His fans will receive this very well. Even family audience may like particularly sentiment and emotional scenes.Let us see how general audience receive this. It has all the ingredients to become a hit film.

That no other big summer contender is set to give it a tough competition is its biggest advantage.
