'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Movie Review - Brilliant, Phenomenal And Memorable Performance From Salman Khan (****)
It has been almost 25 years we have been watching Salman Khan and he is the reigning Superstar of Bollywood. Even though he has maximum number of blockbusters than all his other contemporaries yet there is regular criticism about his acting abilities. There is certain section of film critics and so called multiplexes audience always write him off as a masala entertainer who can be only adored, admired and almost worshiped by front bench mass audience.
Perhaps time has come now to change their views and their entire perception about Salman. First time in his long career Sallu startles you, stuns you and of course mesmerizes you. He does not break bones, he does not fire bullets and he does not even tear his shirt and expose his muscles but he steals your heart with his sheer innocent face and his immense honesty and his magical presence on screen. All these years he is a superstar of Bollywood whether you like him or hate him or make spoofs on him yet he is the Sultan of Bollywood Box-office.
Talented director Kabir Khan rewrites the history of Salman Khan. Today apart from Superstar the actor Salman Khan is born, it is almost the beginning of a new chapter in his career. Salman has been entertaining all these decades but first time he makes you cry and he robs your hearts and of course he will certainly becomes your bhaijaan.
Salman is fortunate enough to have this life time dream role. Kabir Khan exploited every positive thing and creative abilities hidden all these years in Salman. This Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi aka Bajrangi role is strictly meant for him, nobody can fit as much our bhaijaan. Biggest asset of this film is Harshaali Malhotra as Munni. The chemistry between Salman and Munni is almost marvellous and magnificent.
We all remember director Rajamouli of Baahubali fame, surprisingly his father Vijayendra Prasad provides the story for this lovely and delightful film. It has exquisite content and it has magnificent soul. It has captivating emotional scenes which can melt your hearts. It has great human touch irrespective of religion and nation. It is beyond secularism and jingoism. It is perhaps the best meaningful movie among all Slaman Khan's filmography.
There is nothing much to mention the story line as we all saw in teasers. Shahida(Harshaali Malhotra) is a 6 year old Pakistani girl who can not speak but understands the words. While returning from Nizamuddin Dargah she is lost and she happens to meet a Hanuman devotee, Pavan Kumar Chaturvedi aka Bajrangi. Bajarangi comes to Delhi in search of job to his father's friend Sarath Saxena, an orthodox brahmin. His daughter school teacher Rasika falls in love with our honest and innocent Bajarangi.
Meanwhile Munni comes into life. He takes her to Pakistan without Visa and Passport to meet her parents without any clue about them. In this journey a struggling journalist Nawazuddin Siddiqui becomes his friend and takes maximum risk to accomplish this operation. Munni meets her parents is predictable ending.
This movie may have very simple story but the complications and human angle surely touch your soul. The emotions are purely spellbinding and enthralling. Salman makes every emotional scene looks more authentic. Little cute girl Munni is amazing. Talented Nawazuddin is alluring. Beautiful Kareena Kapoor Khan is breathtaking in some scenes and incredible chemistry with Salman.
It is not like regular Salman Khan bashing type entertainer. It is entirely different. You can see a new and entirely surprising Salman Khan. Perhaps this time film critics and multiplex audience may start admiring him. I strongly recommend this film for amazing performances. Truly a marvelous gift to Salman Khan fans. Go and enjoy it.
